1 week after Pterygium surgery with Dr Franz Michel

It's been exactly one week since the pterygium surgery in my right eye. It's definitely a slow recovery. The right eye is still scary bloody red. I do notice the pterygium site a little more yellowish in color. There is still slight pain while moving the eyeball. There is also a warm sensation felt in the inside of the right eye, it's hard to explain, but I know the eye is healing.

Pterygium excision round 2 with Dr Franz Michel

Since the first pterygium surgery with Dr Nanduri in October 2015, who used amniotic membrane, I had a recurrence. The pterygium grew back with a vengeance. The area is now extremely inflamed and red. I consulted with Dr Franz Michel who performed the surgery again on Friday, November 20th, this time using conjunctival grafting techniques (using good tissue from other parts of your eye in place of the pterygium to prevent recurrence).
A few hours after the surgery I feel irritation and a mild throbbing pain which Tylenol helps relieve. I have to wear the clear plastic patch over my right eye for a day to prevent any contact with the eye. There are no dietary restrictions so I could eat everything and anything. I just have to be extra careful because my vision in my right eye is blurry.

The day after the surgery. It feels like a bruised eye. There is slight pain when moving the eye around. There is crazy redness, but this is expected for the next month. I am being extremely careful to not expose the eye to the sunlight or dust or contaminants. Most parts of the day I keep a patch over the eye.
I am putting in my eye drops 4 times daily.
Refresh artificial tears
Vexol 1%
Vigamox 0.5%

Here is a video of my eyes the morning after the surgery 9am.

I'm still feeling a little bit of pain with right eye movement, so avoiding movement as much as possible.

It's 8:00am and my eye is feeling a teeny bit more comfortable. There's a darker red pigmentation in the pterygium area.
